Pro-Measure for Windows NT provides powerful, industrial strength system software that easily satisfies each stage of the inspection process, from part program creation to automatic component measurement. The software is designed specifically for use by shop floor personnel with minimal training, and comprehensive help is available providing on-line assistance.

Graphic Programming Interface

Pro-Composer is an easy to use on and off-line part programming package, which uses a graphic representation of the part as a basis for programming. This is created by scanning the part using the TESASCAN system, or by importing the required geometry from a CAD file.

The programming sequence is highly intuitive. The user simply selects a measurement function from the Pro-Composer icon menu. The standard library contains powerful functions designed specifically for round part geometry. Both the location for measurement and for the feature specification is then defined to create a measurement schematic.

For ease of use, nominals and tolerances can be retrieved from the Pro-Composer database of international standards for limits & fits and for threads. Once the schematic is 'saved' the measurement program is compiled and can be run as an automatic cycle.

Flexible Reporting and Data Transfer

Pro-Measure enables the user to present the measurement data in a variety of numeric and graphic formats together with relevant process information. Editing functions allow text, logos, and bitmap images to be included in reports.

TESASCAN systems can be easily networked or interfaced to existing shop floor data collection systems and measurement data can be analysed with Statistical Process Control software options.

The numeric results display can be configured by the user to show any chosen combination of parameters in any sequence. Further flexibility is offered by e-mail type commands which allow the operator to click on the parameter heading and choose the sequence of display, for instance ascending or descending value order or all failed features uppermost.

Graphic Analysis

Pro-Composer can be used to perform 'best-fit' visual inspection of lines and radii, and compare part data to design nominals, with results displayed in a graphic format. This facility enables fast troubleshooting of manufacturing problems, and can be used as a debugging tool during part program creation.
